[News] 'SM TOWN LIVE in TOKYO SPECIAL' will be planned to be held for up to 150 thousand fans

Artists from SM Entertainment plans to hold a concert in Japan on 2, 3, and 4 September 2011. The concert is titled ‘SM TOWN LIVE in TOKYO SPECIAL’ will be planned to be held for up to 150 thousand fans. 

In a press statement from SM Entertainment, which released on Thursday (23/06/2011), ‘SM TOWN LIVE in TOKYO SPECIAL’ will initially be held for 2 days. However, due to high demand, eventually BC held a concert that it becomes an additional 3 days.

SM Entertainment SM TOWN actually planning concerts in Japan will be held on 9 and 10 April. But then canceled because of the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan in March. Similarly, as reported by Reuters on Thursday (06/23/2011).

This grand concert will be held at the Tokyo Dome, Japan and presenting TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, and F (X). Prior to Japan, they have visited Seoul, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Shanghai, and finally Paris in the carpet ‘SM TOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR 2011’.

Late in January 2011 and then, SM TOWN has visited Japan and perform at Yoyogi National Stadium, Tokyo, Japan. At that time, they were watched by 24,000 pairs of eyes.

Since Paris successfully persuade SM Town to have a concert in Europe through flashmob, a lot of countries all over the world also now created the same project to try their luck on the same thing.

Last year, Los Angeles fans was lucky to witness SM Town concert and again this time the fans are longing and asking for round 2 of the same event. To make this happen, LA fans are up for a flashmob project on July 6 starting at 11am for rehearsal and the official/actual flashmob will be at 2pm infront of Hollywood and Highland Center.

The LA flashmob fans has plans on contacting the Korean media to catch more attention. For this to be more flashy and successful, LA fans are inviting you all (who live in LA) to participate and join this project. We might not know, like Paris, SM Entertainment might grant this hallyu special wish of fans not only in LA but also in other countries.

Well actually it already started, countries outside Asia already planned a SM TOWN FLASHMOB like Chile, Mexico,New York, Spain, Colombia, Canada and guess what A LOT MORE.

This flashmobs just proves that KPOP doesn't only exist in Korea or Asia but it already conquered the world without everyone knowing it much!

[News] DBSK, SNSD, SHINee to Appear on ‘Noleowa’ SM Town Special

According to a source, SM Entertainment singers, including DBSK, SNSD, SHINee, and f(x), will film Yu Jaeseok and Kim Wonhee’s Noleowa SM Town special at MBC Dream Center on 22 June.

The source explained, “It is to hear the singers’ backstage stories and frank opinions on the K-pop boom in Europe after their concert in Paris.” Due to their schedule conflicts, all the singers may not participate in the filming, but a talk show with all the SME groups as guests is unprecedented.

It is expected they will talk about impressions of European fans in the concert and prospects on their debut in Europe.

[News] SM CONCERTS IN PARIS. EVEN KOREANS WERE SURPRISED OF THE KOREAN FEVER ‘MESMERIZED PARIS’

Last 10th and 11th, ‘SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR in PARIS’ took part of ’2010-2012 Years to Visit Korea’, and performed at ‘Le Zenith de Paris’ in Paris, France. The whole concert hall was filled with European fans, and ended very successfully.

This concert consisted of many SM artists, such as TVXQ, Super Junior, SNSD, SHINee, f(x) etc, who sang not only many hit songs, such as ‘Why (Keep Your Head Down)’, ‘Sorry Sorry’, ‘Hoot’, ‘Lucifer’, ‘Pinocchio’ etc.’ but special stages that could only be seen at SMTOWN LIVE concerts. Also, there were solo stages that received great responses, such as Super Junior members Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, Shindong and Heechul’s Beyonce, Lady Gaga parody stages, and a song from SHINee Onew’s opera, ‘Turandot’, ‘Princess cannot sleep’. The concert was 3 hours long, and overall, very completed. This concert perfectly charmed the audience of 14,000.

The audience cheered excitedly when they saw the stars that they only saw through the screens, and enjoyed the performances. They also said ‘Thank you’, ‘I love you’ and ‘Give us Super Junior, not pizza’ etc, with their not-perfect but witty Korean. The fans held up Korean flags and posters with pictures and names of members in all different colours. Not only this, but they also sang the lyrics and memorized the cheers that are spread throughout Asia, making it seem as though it wasn’t Paris, France, but more like Korea or other Asian concert places.

Especially, 98% of the audiences were Europeans from, of course, France, and England, Spain, Finland, Italy, Poland and many other countries. They held up the flags of their own nations, letting the stars know that the audiences were from many other countries. The audience sang the songs, also danced to it perfectly, uniting the stage and the audience into one.

To report this exciting atmosphere, there were many media masses such as the national broadcast of France 2TV, Arte TV, which is a French-Germany collaborated broadcast reporting culture, French weekly economy magazine l’espress etc. There were 20 mass media of Europe, but also Korea’s 3 broadcasting systems, renowned weekly magazines of Paris, Sankei Sports, Nitkan Sports, Fuji TV of Japan etc. There were mass media from all over the world, and once again SM and SM artists were able to prove their global powers.

Meanwhile, this concert will be aired next month 2nd, as MBC 50 year anniversary special with the title of “SMTWON LIVE WORLD TOUR in PARIS’. SMTOWN Live will be held in Tokyo Dome in Japan, on 4th and 5th of September with 10,000 people.

[News] Over 1500 Fans welcomed SM Idols in Paris

Long waited SM Idols has finaly arrived in France at Charles de Gaulle Paris airport. A huge crowd of fans, over 1,500, was waiting for them since 8th June evening, fans were waiting with Colorfull ballons, Banners with Korean writings and even singing popular Korean songs to welcome their Stars. ”I’ve waited for more than three hours, but I barely saw their faces,” said a schoolgirl fan. “I took some photos, but nothing came out clearly.”

Amazing thing was people waving Korean Flags. When f(x), Shinee and TVXQ arrived at the airport it become so hard for them to get out of the airport, even in the presence of 30 Bodyguards, because a large amount of Fans were waiting to get a glimpse of their Korean Singers. The Pop groups made a quick exit from the airport, passing through screaming fans jostling for a closer look. Their mere appearance reduced some to tears.

Most Apparent thing was that the Fans, there, were not only French but from other countries also like Britain, Italy, Switzerland etc. European Fans has already proved their extreme love for idols throught their demonstration and protests for extending the dates of Concert, in which they succeed.

The ‘VISIT KOREA YEAR 2010-2012’ SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR’ in PARIS will be held at the ‘Le Zenith de Paris’ in Paris on June 10th and 11th. 특 히, 해외 여성그룹으로서 첫 앨범이 발매 첫 주 오리콘 1위에 등극한 것은 러시아 여성 듀오 ‘t.A.T.u.’ 이후 8년 3개월 만에 일어난 두 번째 기록이어서 더욱 화제를 모으고 있으며, 소녀시대의 이번 앨범은 발매 첫 날부터 연일 오리콘 데일리 앨범차트 1위를 차지해 이 같은 활약을 예고한 바 있다.

또한 소녀시대는 지난 31일 오사카를 시작으로 일본 6개 도시에서 14회에 걸쳐 총 14만명 규모로 일본 첫 아레나 투어를 펼치며 일본 팬들을 매료시키고 있어, 일본 열도에 불고 있는 소녀시대 열풍은 더욱 거세질 전망이다.

[News] “SM Town Live in Paris” sells out extra concert date in 10 minutes

On May 17th, SM Entertainment revealed that their extra concert date for “SM Town Live in Paris” sold out their tickets in just 10 minutes!

Representatives stated, “As it is the first ever Korean brand concert that ‘SM Town Live in Paris’ is presenting in Europe, fans have been showing explosive support. The extra concert date for June 11th has completely sold out within 10 minutes.”

The ticketing sites, FNAC and Live Nation, even crashed due to the influx of visitors. The original concert date previously headlined for selling out tickets in 15 minutes, which was already quite impressive, but this feat once again demonstrates the power of the Hallyu wave.
