[News] Ahn Nae Sang Coaches Kim Jaejoong In Acting After Park Yoochun

It seems like actor Ahn Nae Sang has much affinity with JYJ.

According to one of the staff working on the SBS drama serial “Protect the Boss”, Ahn Nae Sang gave Kim Jaejoong some coaching on acting recently. The staff expressed, “ Although Kim Jaejoong has some acting experience from acting in tele-movies and Japanese dramas, it is his first time acting in a long local drama series, hence he still needs some help on acting. Recently, he has become much more confident after some coaching from Ahn Nae Sang.”

Ahn Nae Sang acted as Professor Jung Yak Yong in last year’s history drama series “SungKyunKwan Scandal”, and had a student-teacher relationship with Park Yoochun’s character Lee Seon Joon, becoming his mentor both in the drama and in reality.

Was this a set up by Park Yoochun? Someone closed to Ahn Nae Sang mentioned, “That has got nothing to do with Park Yoochun. The director of ‘First Wives’ Club’ Son Jung Hyun, is also the director of ‘Protect the Boss’, and had invited Ahn Nae Sang to act in the drama, but because of his prior agreement to act in MBC’s ‘High Kick 3’, he had to turn down the offer due to his busy schedule. Hence, Director Son requested, ‘Please coach Kim Jaejoong’s acting’, and that was how this happened.”

Ahn Nae Sang became much popular due to “First Wives’ Club”, thus readily accepted Son Jung Hyun’s request.

Park Yoochun; practices filming 8 hours a day: Possesses “Good actor material”

Born in 1986, Park Yoochun debuted as a member of TVXQ in 2004. Although he was once a member of Asia’s top boy band, he continued his activities as JYJ with Kim Junsu and Kim Jaejoong after ending their dispute with their previous agency. [News] Park Yoochun Lip Syncs On ‘Miss Ripley’?

In the 9th episode of MBC’s ‘Miss Ripley’ that aired on the 27th, Song Yoo Hyun played the piano and sang to propose to Jang Miri.

On this day, Song Yoo Hyun calls Jang Miri, who had just finished a special college lecture, to a church and turns on a slide show on a large screen that is filled with pictures of her while he sings and plays the piano.

Jang Miri sheds tears at Song Yoo Hyun’s romantic side and accepts his proposal. But the director’s decision to make Park Yoochun lip sync instead of singing live for the beautiful scene has made many viewers express their disappointment.

On the 22nd, staff of the drama who were present at a filming that occurred at a church in Gangnam, Seoul commented that they created the perfect scene with Park Yoochun’s adept piano skills and emotional voice. As his packed schedule meant that filming would have to occur in the early morning, the staff worried that Park Yoochun’s voice would be too hoarse to sing at such a time but Park Yoochun pulled through by fully utilizing the fact that he’s a singer and sang the OST piece ‘This Empty Place is For You’.

But in the actual drama, Park Yoochun was seen sitting in front of the piano but was never seen actually playing the instrument while the song was played through a BGM. Park Yoochun, who is a singer before he is an actor, had to lip sync for his drama.

Viewers who saw the episode said, “Why did they use the prerecorded OST? I’d like to know the director’s thought process”, “I don’t know why they went old-school and sat Park Yoochun in front of a piano when he’s able to both sing and play the piano”, “The scene could have been more moving but then he lip synced… that completely turned me off,” and “Because he lip synced, it actually got in the way of getting into the scene. It felt like the components of a beautiful scene didn’t work at all. I was disappointed.”

[News] Park Yoochun, ‘If I Wear It, Even A Blanket Can Become A Fashion Item!’

The leading roles of ‘Miss Ripley’, Lee Da Hae, Kim Seung Woo, Park Yoochun and Kang Hae Jung, have revealed their methods of protecting their health during the late nights they spend filming for their drama.

MBC’s Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Miss Ripley’ is popular for its extravagant casting of top actors and their blazing passion for acting. The four leading roles have had an extremely packed schedule since filming began for the drama, meaning that they’ve had to spend continuous sleepless nights on location in order to increase the degree of completion of the drama.

Though the temperature goes over a steaming 30℃ in the afternoon, the actors are met with a chilly breeze at night, meaning that they have to work hard to protect their health. Each member of the ‘Miss Ripley’ quartet has been showcasing his or her own ‘On Set Health Protection Know-How’.

One of the best items they are using to keep warm is a blanket, which they can easily wrap around their bodies when they’re taking a break. Staff have reported that the actors always have a blanket on hand to ward of the chilly breeze as well as the bugs that swarm at the lighting equipment.

As Lee Da Hae and Kang Hae Jung’s outfits are usually quite thin, they throw on a blanket or thick coat over their shoulders as soon as the director gives them the ‘OK’ sign in order to keep their body temperatures elevated. Kim Seung Woo also protects his health by wearing a thick jacket.

In Park Yoochun’s case, he’s been making the humble blanket a fashion item by using blankets of various colors and prints. At times, he ties the blanket around his shoulders like a shirt and at other times, he wraps it around his waist to keep his legs warm. Staff have been heard commenting that his use of blankets is making him the fashionista of the ‘Miss Ripley’ staff and cast.

The production company stated, “The actors of ‘Miss Ripley’ are using a variety of methods to keep warm and overcome the nighttime chill that attacks them as they film throughout the night,” and “Even as they work through a packed schedule, they have been working their hardest to create the best drama that they possibly can. This week’s episodes will be bringing a new twist to the plot that will overturn everything that has happened till now. Please anticipate the big twist that is to come.”

In ‘Miss Ripley’, Lee Da Hae is eliciting the curiosity of viewers by being stung by her conscience as she is caught between Kim Seung Woo and Park Yoochun, two men she has been using for her own success.

As Lee Da Hae faces situations that may reveal her extravagant lies, viewers are anxious to see if she will realize the value of true love through Kim Seung Woo or Park Yoochun.
